This is my parents' cat Opal. She is a sweetheart and a cuddler. Her eyes really are that huge and blue, I am not exaggerating! My mom adopted her from a shelter just a few days before she was scheduled to be put down. The picture I had taken of her was indoors and she was sitting on the bannister, which I tried to convert into a fencepost...hopefully I was able to fake the bricks OK...
Can't wait to go home again so I can hold this cat!
8" x 10" ish. Pastel, charcoal, and colored pencil.

Wow this is beautifully done! :omg:
I love how you got the pose so perfect, and the fur detail is spot on. Not to mention you got the paws in so damned well - cats paws are too flexy :XD:

Very nice work indeed, she is beautiful and I'm glad she was rescued before being put down =)

Thanks! Cats are so flexy that I think they don't actually have solid bones, just rubber ones. :)

I meant to comment on this my last visit. It's absolutely amazing! Wonderful texture in the fur, and the depth of the green is incredible! Beautiful! :)

The fur on this cat is amazingly well done. I attempted once to do a painting of my cat, but it was completely unrecognizable. ;-)
