How many strands did you use and what were their lengths?

This was 12 strands of cotton cord-- four sets of three cords each. I wish I could remember the lengths! I need to get into the habit of writing things down... but one book I have about macrame' recommends measuring the waist for a belt, then multiplying that number by 8. I guess it would all depend on what knots you use, though, and the thickness of the cord used. :D

Okay! Thank you! I really love the belt. Is it a tie one or a buckle? I can't tell from the picture but from the looks of things it appears to be a tie off.

It has a sort of a tassel thingy that goes through the spaces at the end. It hadn't really turned out the way I'd initially intended... :D

When I put pieces together I lay out the beads and colors I want and figure out a pattern, but never really plan the end result. I just go with the flow sorta thing. LOL

Thanks very much! I liked how this picture turned out--my husband took it. I wish he would take more pictures, he's really pretty good at that :D
