Aw! I love chickens! I use to have some before, breed even. But I had to let them go when I moved out... I miss them still...
I like the bright colors, and the pose.
I guess it looks fab as a large painting! :D

I hate roosters... to damned ornery for me... but I love chicks and hens. Love fresh eggs too! *grin*

Roosters can be vicious when they feel threatened...but they can be sweet if they are able to trust people. When I volunteered at an animal sanctuary, they had a rooster who had been used for cock fights. Everyone thought he was so mean until he was given a healthy lifestyle at the sanctuary. Now the bird once known as the "killer rooster" will cuddle up in your lap and eat out of your hand! No joke. :)

lol... well, I know that some roosters can be nice. I had one that wasn't though... and of all the roosters I had only this one was vicious. He'd never been mistreated either, because I raised him from a newly hatched chick. And he WAS vicious. He's wait until your back was turned and then jump you. The day he jumped my 3-year-old granddaughter was the day he died. I kept warning him... like he was gonna listen, right? But I knew enough not to trust him. I think he'd jumped everyone that came around. Normally he wasn't out when Ana was there, but this time she went out with me to gather eggs and... well, the rest is history.

Hugs,
Anj

I guess that just goes to show how different animal personalities can be...my sister used to have a cat that was always so crabby, regardless of how spoiled she was...
