I think this can teach you about shading and form. It's so simple. Do you find that a single dot can make a huge difference?

Yes, it can! Especially in areas that are lighter, an extra dot or to can suddenly look overkill and ruin highlights. In the darker areas it is more forgiving.

Beautiful stipple work! Too often we viewers pass by great b&w artwork in favor of the brightly colored images (magpie gene, I guess. lol). Thanks for sharing! (The full-size image at your print gallery is marvelous!)
